Welcome!

It’s Time To LEAD!

So, here’s the good news: our economy is on the upswing and your company is growing like a weed…

And here’s the bad news: your current leadership may not be ready to work the soil to ensure you’re growing the right crop.

Okay…I don’t know the first thing about gardening…but I do know a few things about leading people and teams.

If your company is on a growth fast track, you need to make sure you have the right people in place to support that growth.

Some of the most common ‘people problems’ that fast-growing companies are experiencing include:

  • A leadership vacuum that causes companies to REACT to their staffing needs, including making poor promotion decisions. Promoting from within is great, but if you are promoting based on PERFORMANCE, not POTENTIAL, your leaders may not be ready to lead
  • Failing to identify high-potential employees (HIPOs) and nurturing their goals and aspirations. Studies show that HIPOs produce up to 10 times more than their lower potential counterparts, so taking these folks for granted can result in reduced engagement and productivity, and worse…leaving to work for the competition

Fast-growing companies need to have teams in place to keep up with the market demand, especially their leadership team. Not having a long-term people strategy in place…one that’s part of the company’s larger growth strategy…can really hit a company’s bottom line.

PEOPLE problems…left unaddressed…will become PROFIT problems…

My leadership development philosophy is simple…organizations must LEAD to meet the needs and demand of their customers:

  • Leverage your existing leaders to identify future leaders, and implement succession plans and team development strategies,
  • Engage them in the development and execution of your people strategy,
  • Hold them Accountable for their results, and
  • Declare your commitment to your people strategy over the long haul

At Leveraged Leaders, we work with fast-growing midsize companies that are focused on eliminating their leadership vacuum by developing a sustainable, actionable people strategy as part of their overall business growth strategy. For example, research shows that only 34% of companies use succession plans, and that companies that struggle with leadership continuity will be unable to achieve their growth targets.

Identifying your company’s high-potential (HIPO) employees is a key part of any people strategy…check out our free download What Your HIPOs Wish You Knew and get a few tips on steps you can take NOW to support your high-potential employees.
